Natumi Organic Rice Drinks

:

Anyone who wants to eat vegan, wants to avoid carbohydrates in lactose or is lactose-intolerant needs alternatives to milk. The liquid extracts from soybeans, oats, spelt, millet, coconut or almonds are an option but not everyone likes them. As more and more people consciously do without animal products, the range of vegetarian and vegan products is increasing rapidly.

Outside North and Central Europe, the majority of people do not tolerate lactose very well. Their bodies have difficulties digesting milk sugar (lactose) properly. Most dairy products contain lactose. For the use of milk sugar, the lactose must be split during the digestion process. Responsible for this is an enzyme called lactase. If you are lactose intolerant, the lactose cannot be digested due to a lack of or a reduced lactase production. The result is flatulence, stomach cramps and indigestion. But why do we actually drink cow's milk? Humans are the only mammals that still drink milk as adults. There is no animal that would drink the milk of other animals. A biological need for drinking milk is hardly given.

The numerous dairy products that are offered in the Western world require an extremely high milk production. In the last decade each year 25-30 million tons of milk were produced in Germany alone. This gigantic amount does of course not come from free running cows. In most of the major automatised stables of the dairy farms that are industrially working it is necessary to produce a maximum amount of milk with a minimum of space. Species-appropriate animal-rearing and freedom of movement is often not given. Vegans principally do not drink milk. For some good reasons. In order to keep the milk flowing, cows must give birth to a new offspring. For this purpose they already get fertilized at a young age. After birth the mother and the calf are separated after a very short time. After all the milk is produced for the people and not for the baby calf. Everybody knows how devotedly animal mothers raise their offsprings and defend them with their lives. Animal rights activists think that such a separation is a terribly traumatic experience. Thus vegans reject the milk of animals consistently. But what alternatives are available?

In addition to soy drinks and almond drinks, vegetable alternatives made from oats, millet, spelt, coconut and rice are especially popular. Rice is one of the most important crops in the world and the staple food for more than half of the world's population. Accordingly, many rice plants are grown. Unlike with almond drinks the main ingredient for rice drinks is always sufficiently available. But how do dry rice grains turn into a tasty drink? This is not so hard. First, the rice must be ground and then boiled with plenty of water. It is then mashed. In this process, the corn starch is converted to sugar. This creates a creamy mass. After fermentation it is filtered and made creamier by adding vegetable oil. The final product is a plant extract that can be used exactly like cow’s milk for baking, cooking, mixing or for pure enjoyment.

Whether for processing or as a refreshment in between: Natumi has the right rice drink for any occasion. The rice for the different drinks comes from the largest rice growing area in Europe, the Italian province of Vercelli. The sun of the Piedmont and the waters of the Sesia give this rice everything it needs to grow. Thanks to its favorable location, rice has been cultivated in Vercelli since the Middle Ages. Besides the good Vercelli rice, Natumi Organic Rice Drink Natural only contains sunflower oil and sea salt. You can drink it pure – preferably ice cold – or enjoy it mixed with fine fruit and vegetable juices. The Organic Rice Drink Natural is ideal for cereals or corn flakes and can even be added to coffee. It is also an excellent ingredient for cooking and baking. The calcium in Natumi Organic Rice Drink Calcium comes from the small, calcareous red algae of the Corallinales family. Lithothamnium Calcareum are considered a particularly high-quality vegetable source of calcium. Natumi Organic Rice Cuisine contains only 8% fat, but is as tasty as cream and is suitable for soups and desserts.

The Natumi Organic Rice Drink Hazelnut Almond brings tasty variety into your glass. The nutty aroma of the drink is ideal for new dessert ideas and also gives muesli a special touch. When it comes to milk alternatives, the flavor of vanilla must not be missing. The Organic Rice Drink Vanilla combines real Bourbon vanilla with the fine sweetness of the rice drink to a special taste experience. Nature always finds varied ways to pamper the palate. You will taste it and you will feel it.
