My.Yo Organic Yoghurt Ferment vegan. If you want to eat vegan today, you don't have to do without much. Homemade food usually tastes even better. With a few tricks, various vegetable drinks can be turned into yoghurt-like creams.

The ferment is suitable for the following types of milk:
- Soy drinks, cow milk
- Almond oat drinks, coconut milk (coconut content > 60%) with the addition of thickening agents such as agar
This is how the preparation with herbal drinks works:
You need:
- 1 bag of My.Yo Organic Yoghurt Ferment
- 400 ml coconut milk (at least 60% coconut content, before use stir well!)
- 600 ml almond milk or other vegetable milk
- 1 tbsp pectin or other thickening agents
Preparation:
- Dissolve a bag of yoghurt ferment in 100 ml almond milk and put aside.
- Boil 1 can of coconut milk (400 ml) with 1 tablespoon of pectin for 2 minutes and then mix well with a whisk.
- Mix the coconut milk and the remaining almond milk in the yoghurt maker. If necessary, allow to cool until the mixture is about finger temperature. Then add the dissolved ferment and let it maturefor 12-14 hours.
Tip:
If the yoghurt is not firm and 2 layers have formed, it is because the pectin has not yet bound. Simply stir the yoghurt once again and put it in the fridge.
Some types of milk still need a small amount of sugar (e.g. agave syrup) to start the fermentation process.
Preparation in a My.Yo Yoghurt Maker:
- Prepare the plant-based milk mix exactly according to the instructions on page 6. Alternative: Simply mix 1 litre of room-warm soy milk with one bag of ferment.
- Put the lid on the inner container.
- Pour 750 ml boiling water into the My.Yo Yoghurt Maker and place the inner container in the water.
- Simply screw the lid on and wait. After 12 to 14 hours, the yoghurt is ready to enjoy. Then place the yoghurt in the fridge.
Advice if your yoghurt is not a success:
- If the yoghurt has not set, simply maintain the approach and repeat steps 3 to 4 in the instructions.
- Mix the yoghurt starter and milk well. It is best to try mixing the yoghurt with a little milk first and then with the rest of the milk.
- Always fill the container with boiling water.
- Leave to inoculate for 12-14 hours.
- Keep the yoghurt maker as still as possible while the yoghurt is being made.
- The milk should not be cold but should be brought to room temperature at least. In the winter time, it's best to heat the milk slightly (although not hotter than 40°C.)
