Spielberger Organic Wholemeal Rye Flour. Rye has a strong, spicy flavour. In the Spielberger mill, the grain is ground in several steps to this fine wholemeal flour, which contains all the components of the grain. Use pure wholemeal rye flour with sourdough to bake strong breads or in flour mixtures for a hearty taste.
Basic recipe: Wholemeal rye bread
Ingredients: 500 g Organic Wholemeal Rye Flour, 10 g salt, 10 g fresh yeast, 75 g natural sourdough, 350 ml water (lukewarm)
Preparation: Knead the wholemeal rye flour with the remaining ingredients in a bowl to form a dough and leave it covered in a warm place to rise for about 60 minutes. Then knead the dough again and place in a greased baking tin. Cover and leave to rise for another 30 - 45 minutes in a warm place. Brush the bread with a little water and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C on the middle shelf for approx. 45 minutes.
