Hot, hotter, hottest
‘Hot’ is not a flavour like sweet or salty, but a pain stimulus. Active ingredients such as capsaicin or piperine cause this sensation; they are found in chillies or pepper. These substances stimulate the nerves across the entire face: you can feel the heat in your eyes or nose too. Because the taste buds on the tongue aren’t directly stimulated, the heat doesn’t mask the flavour of other spices. On the contrary: spicy food increases blood flow to the mouth, so you actually perceive flavours more intensely. However, the heat must remain below a threshold beyond which it is perceived as unpleasant. This threshold varies from person to person and can change: just as with pain, the body becomes accustomed to heat. : Review date:As in the description, I wouldn't give it 8 out of 10 points for spiciness, more like 6 out of 10. However, this may also have to do with my expectations of this product. With Red Hot Chilli Curry, I simply expected something very spicy. However, my wife was worried because, in her opinion, I added far too much when cooking. In the end, everyone liked it anyway. However, it is not very spicy.
Also wie in der Beschreibung, 8 von 10 Punkten bezüglich des Schärfegrades würde ich nicht geben, eher 6 von 10. Dies kann aber auch mit meiner Erwartungshaltung, welche ich gegenüber diesem Produkt hatte, zusammenhängen. Bei Red Hot Chilli Curry habe ich einfach etwas sehr scharfes erwartet. Wie dem auch sei, meine Frau hatte schon Sorgen, da ich beim Kochen, ihrer Meinung nach, viel zu viel hinzugegeben habe. Am Ende hat es trotzdem allen geschmeckt. Es ist jedoch nicht sehr scharf.
