Spielberger Organic Rye: Unit: 1 kg

: Description:

Spielberger Organic Rye. Rye has a strong and hearty flavour and is very well suited for sourdough bread. It can be used for baking either ground or flaked. Suitable for germinating.
Recipe: Wholemeal rye bread
Ingredients: 500 g rye, 10 g salt, 10 g fresh yeast, 75 g natural sourdough, 375 ml warm water.
Preparation: Grind the rye medium fine. Dissolve the yeast and sourdough in the warm water. Knead into a dough with the remaining ingredients in a bowl and leave covered in a warm place to rise for approx. 60 minutes. Then place the dough in a greased, floured baking tin, cover and leave to rise for a further 45 minutes in a warm place. Brush the bread with a little water and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C on the bottom shelf for about 45 minutes.
Variation: Knead 1 tsp cumin and 1 tsp coriander seeds into the dough.
