: Description:
Spielberger Organic Rye Flakes. Rye flakes give muesli and flake mixtures a particularly strong flavour. You can also coat brown bread or wholemeal bread with rye flakes before baking.
Recipe: Brown bread
1 packet dry sourdough, 200 g rye flakes, 300 g rye flour type 1150, 50 g each sunflower seeds and linseeds, 15 g salt, 1 tbsp honey, 400 ml lukewarm water, 10 g yeast
Preparation: Put all ingredients in a mixing bowl and knead well. Cover the dough in the bowl and leave to rise overnight in the refrigerator. Place the dough in a well-greased, floured baking tin. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 250 °C. Place a metal bowl with water on the bottom of the oven and place the bread on the middle shelf. After 5 minutes, reduce the heat to 200 °C and bake for about 40 minutes.
