Rosenmehl Organic Flour Cakes & Pastries. A flour blend offering the best of both worlds: finely milled like wheat flour type 405 and as strong as wheat flour type 550. A good basis for all kinds of sponge cakes, sponge bases and shortbread.
Basic Gugelhupf recipe
Ingredients for one bundt cake (Ø 22 cm):
- 330 g organic rose flour + some for the tin
- 175 g soft butter or margarine + a little for the tin
- 175 g sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 eggs (size M)
- 100 ml milk
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat (160 °C fan oven). Grease the bundt cake tin and dust with flour.
- Briefly mix all the ingredients together to form a smooth batter and pour into the tin.
- Bake the cake for 4550 minutes on the middle shelf. Do not forget to test with a skewer.
- Once baked, leave the cake to cool for approx. 10 mins. on a cake rack and turn out of the tin.
- Decorate as desired and then dust with icing sugar.
Tip: The cake batter is well suited as a base for various sponge cakes, e.g. marble cake or lemon cake.
