Byodo Organic Frying Oils

:

Light Mediterranean dishes owe their typical taste, above all, to the different vegetable oils that are being used. Whether the recipes are from France, Spain, Italy, Greece or Turkey does not matter: Oils have always been an essential component of the Mediterranean cuisine: thistle oil, peanut oil, almond oil, pumpkin seed oil, corn oil, and in many different flavours: olive oil.

Vegetable oils do not only taste good in fresh salads. Some of them are also ideal for frying, deep-frying or baking. But which oil is suitable for cooking at high temperatures, mild in flavour and does not splash in the pan? One thing is for sure: Liquid oil gets really hot in the pan. However, many cooking oils do not tolerate the high temperatures between 180 °C and 200 °C that are needed for frying and deep-frying. As a result the oil loses its pleasant taste, ingredients disintegrate and at worst dangerous substances are released. At high temperatures, the fatty acids oxidize and begin to smoke. The smoke point is exceeded then. As a benchmark one can say: The higher the proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, the earlier the oil begins to smoke. Since, cold-pressed linseed oil, thistle oil or walnut oil have a very high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids, they are simply not suitable as frying oils.

With special Organic Frying Oils Byodo offers variety for frying and deep-frying. The Organic Frying Oil Classic consists of sunflower oil, the Organic Frying Oil Olive Mediterranean is made of olive oil, the Organic Frying Oil Rapeseed is made form a special rapeseed and the Organic Frying Oil Exquisite is a mixture of sunflower oil and a shot of roasted sesame oil. The Byodo Organic Frying Oils have one thing in common: they are 100% organic, mild in flavour, can be well-heated at high temperatures, and they have a high smoke point. The difference lies in their taste: While the Organic Frying Oil Classic remains in the background with its very mild flavour, the fine olive note of the Organic Frying Oil Olive supports Mediterranean dishes perfectly. For the Organic Frying Oils Classic and Exquisite Byodo uses high-oleic sunflower seeds. This variety has a very high content of oleic acid (more than 70%). The Organic Frying Oil Olive Mediterranean is a pure olive oil, also rich in oleic acid, and due to the gentle deodorization an ideal frying oil. The rapeseed variety used for the Organic Frying Oil Rapeseed contains a particularly high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, which can be easily heated. The gourmet oil among the frying oils certainly is the Byodo Organic Frying Oil Exquisite. The mixture of deodorized high oleic sunflower oil and carefully roasted sesame oil gives the oil a delicious, slightly nutty flavour. It bestows stir-fries with crispy vegetables a delicious flavour and refines crispy fried fish, meat, wok dishes and desserts. After frying and deep-frying the Byodo Organic Frying Oils drip from the prepared food easily unlike hydrogenated fats. The dishes also get a delicious golden brown colour

A little tip at the end: To determine the right temperature when heating the oil in a pan, just hold a wooden spoon or wooden stick in the hot fat. If small air bubbles form, you can put your food in the oil. Bon appetit.
