Application:

Just add:
1 kg of finely chopped, pitted fruit or 700 ml of juice
5 g juice of a lemon

Preparation with fruits:
1. Place a small plate for the jelly sample in the freezer.
2. Wash fruits, drain, cut into small pieces, core if necessary, weigh 1 kg.
3. Put the contents of the package in a saucepan with the fruits and citric acid or juice.
4. Mix everything well and bring to a boil with constant stirring. Let it boil for 3 minutes.
5. Gelling sample: After the cooking time, put a tablespoon of the hot fruit preparation on the ice-cold plate and let it cool. If the mass is not firm enough, it must be boiled down for a few minutes longer. Repeat gelling test.
6. Fill the boiling fruit spread to the brim in clean glasses, close tightly and put on the lid for 5 minutes.

Preparation of jelly from juice:
Use 700 ml juice and 500 g BioVegan Gelling Sugar 2:1. Go through steps 1, 4 to 6.

Useful tips:
1. A firmer fruit spread is achieved by extending the cooking time.
2. Prepare no more than 1 kg of fruit with 1 pack of Biovegan Gelling Sugar 2:1 per cooking process!
3. Choose the pot size so that the fruits only fill the pot halfway.

Fruit pectin content:
- Fruit with low pectin content (addition of 1 grated apple recommended): Mango, peach, cherry, strawberry, elderberry.
- Fruit with medium pectin content (addition of 1/2 grated apple recommended): blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, kiwi, apricot, plum.
- Fruits with a high pectin content: quince, apple, orange, cranberry, currant.

Good product, does what it is supposed to. What annoys me more and more, however, is the packaging. Dr. Oetker doesn't pack its preserving sugar in plastic either.

Gutes Produkt, tut, was es soll. Was mich allerdings immer mehr ärgert, ist die Verpackung. Dr. Oetker verpackt seinen Gelierzucker auch nicht in Plastik.

The organic preserving sugar is perfect for all those who want to do without unnecessary additives and, above all, animal ingredients. 500 grams of sugar are enough for a whole kilo of fruit. This ratio means that the jam is not so sweet, but tastes more naturally fruity. I have used BioVegan's preserving sugar a few times now and have always been satisfied. It's very easy to prepare and the jelly test means you know exactly when the fruit spread has cooked enough. I have just ordered a few more packs from Violey, as Christmas jams are just around the corner. A very good gelling sugar!

Der Bio Gelierzucker ist perfekt geeignet für alle, die auf unnötige Zusätze und vor allem auch auf tierische Inhaltsstoffe verzichten möchten. 500 Gramm Zucker reichen für ein ganzes Kilo Früchte. Durch dieses Verhältnis wird die Marmelade auch nicht so süß, sondern schmeckt eher natürlich fruchtig. Ich selbst habe den Gelierzucker von BioVegan nun schon ein paar Mal verwendet und war bisher immer zufrieden. Die Zubereitung ist kinderleicht und durch die Gelierprobe weiß man genau, wann der Fruchtaufstrich genug gekocht hat. Soeben habe ich wieder einige Packungen bei Violey bestellt, da nun die Weihnachtsmarmeladen vor der Türe stehen. Ein sehr guter Gelierzucker!
