Violey is an owner-operated mail-order company for natural cosmetics, organic food, and natural products, based in Hof, in northeastern Bavaria. Violey was founded in 2004, and since 2005 we have been supplying customers in more than 80 countries. Without investors, without quarterly targets, but with a clear, long-term focus on product range, quality, and customer satisfaction.
From Hof, we ship hundreds of packages of organic products to the entire world every day. Many of our customers are environmentally conscious people for whom climate, species conservation, and species-appropriate animal husbandry are important. For us too, down-to-earth organic farming and the protection of nature are the foundation of natural enjoyment and genuine taste. Our online shop is available to you in ten languages.

Certified organic quality
Violey is a company certified by the organic control body DE-ÖKO-001. This certification is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the EU Organic Regulation (EU) 2018/848, compliance with which is verified by independent organic control bodies. Violey is certified by DE-ÖKO-001, Germany's first state-approved organic control body. Only after regular, thorough inspection is the certification renewed for a further 12 months. Our warehouse in Hof
Our 5.500-square-metre warehouse in Hof is fully climate-controlled. This ensures that goods stored with us are not exposed to temperature fluctuations. That's good for the products and pleasant for our employees. We also apply high standards to our packaging: plastic bubble wrap or polystyrene chips never go into a Violey parcel. Instead, we use uncoated packaging material made of cardboard and paper padding. We make sure that our packaging and filling materials are made from renewable raw materials and are recyclable.
To protect sensitive organic products, we additionally secure larger orders using a box-in-box principle, in which two boxes are packed inside an outer box. This protects the contents better, even in places where parcel delivery is handled somewhat roughly. Our adhesive tape is made of paper but still contains synthetic threads for reinforcement. We are working on an alternative to this.
We rely on the power of the sun. At our site, we operate our own photovoltaic system with an installed capacity of 99,9 kWp. Year after year, it generates between 90 and 98 megawatt-hours of electricity, all of which we use ourselves. In 2025, this covered around 57% of our total electricity consumption at the site from our own generation.
We believe that food which is still usable does not belong in the bin. Products that are no longer sold, for example because they are approaching their best-before date or because the packaging is damaged, are donated every two weeks to Hofer Tafel e.V. This provides people in financially difficult situations with natural products and organic food.

Many customers notice that they do not need to accept any cookies when opening our homepage. The reason: we deliberately avoid advertising cookies and personalised tracking. We exclusively use technically necessary cookies, for example to keep your shopping cart saved or to display the website in your chosen language.
