Since my son does not tolerate gluten, I am always on the lookout for the perfect substitute. Schär's flour comes pretty close. The preparation works perfectly (I can use the quantities 1:1) and the finished pastry tastes great. There is almost no difference to wheat flour (it tastes a touch sweeter). All my doughs were airy and fluffy. Cakes, muffins and waffles have always turned out great. In the last few weeks, I have also baked some biscuits with the flour. That didn't cause any problems either. The corn flour from Schär really is a very good gluten-free alternative to wheat flour.

Da mein Sohn kein Gluten verträgt, bin ich immer auf der Suche nach dem perfekten Ersatzprodukt. Das Mehl von Schär kommt dem schon recht nahe. Die Zubereitung funktioniert einwandfrei (ich kann ich die Mengenangaben 1:1 so übernehmen) und das fertige Gebäck schmeckt hervorragend. Es lässt sich fast kein Unterschied zu Weizenmehl feststellen (es schmeckt einen Hauch süßer). Alle meine Teige waren luftig und locker. Kuchen, Muffins und Waffeln sind bisher immer super gelungen. In den letzten Wochen habe ich außerdem schon einige Plätzchen mit dem Mehl gebacken. Auch das gab keine Probleme. Das Maismehl von Schär bietet wirklich eine sehr gute glutenfreie Alternative zu Weizenmehl.
