: Description:

BioVegan Organic Spelt Sour Dough Extract sufficient for 2 loaves with the typical acidity of sourdough and the slightly nutty aroma of spelt. Just add the remaining ingredients - and done! Enjoy your freshly baked bread for breakfast or as a snack.
Spelt Sourdough Bread

You add (for 2 loaves):
700 g spelt flour, 300 g rye flour, 2 sachets BioVegan Meister baker's yeast (14 g), 2 tsp salt, 750 ml lukewarm water, some fat for the baking tin.

Preparation:
Mix all dry ingredients well. Add 750 ml water and knead for 5 minutes. Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for 60 minutes. Then knead the dough again and let it rest covered in 2 greased moulds for 30 minutes.

Bake the loaves with a bowl of water at 200°C for about 60 minutes. Then turn out the loaves and leave to cool on a wire rack.

Note:
  1. You cannot make a basic batch with the spelt sourdough extract.
  2. The sourdough alone has no leavening power.
  3. For 1 kg of flour, 2 sachets of BioVegan Meister baker's yeast (14 g) are needed.

Works great with this sourdough. Simply mix it with spelt flour, let it rise and then put it on the cooker. The result is something to behold and taste. Delicious with a crust, and it lasts quite long. Theoretically, anyway, because after a few days the bread is already history and I can bake again:-)

Funktioniert klasse mit diesem Sauerteig. Einfach mit Dinkelmehl mischen, gehen lassen und dann ab in den Herd. Das Ergebnis kann sich sehen und schmecken lassen. Wohlschmeckend mit Kruste, und es hält recht lang. Theoretisch jedenfalls, denn nach ein paar Tagen ist das Brot bereits Geschichte und ich darf schon wieder backen:-)
