Bread mix with 64% oats

: Description:

BioVegan Organic Bread Mix Oat Bread. For this bread mix, oat flakes, wholemeal oat flour, corn flour and other ingredients are processed. The package is sufficient for approx. 850 g of ready-made oat bread.
For the oat bread you still need:
500 ml water, 2 tbsp (20 ml) vinegar (for example apple cider vinegar), 1 packet of baking powder, loaf tin (20 cm or 25 cm), hand mixer with dough hook, optional: oat flakes for sprinkling.
Note: adding vinegar only helps to preserve the bread, so it stays fresh for a longer time. The smell and taste of the vinegar will disappear during baking.

Preparation: 
  1. Place the baking mixture and baking powder in a bowl and mix together. 
  2. Preheat the oven to 200 °C convection or 220 °C top/bottom heat and place an ovenproof dish filled with water in the oven. Grease the baking dish well.
  3.  Add the bread mix, water and vinegar into a mixing bowl and mix briefly with a hand mixer with a dough hook until you have a smooth dough (max. 1 to 2 minutes). Do not knead the dough for too long!
  4. Now pour the dough into the greased loaf tin and smooth it out with a moistened dough scraper. 
  5. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes until the oven is preheated.
  6. If you like, sprinkle the dough with oat flakes, put the loaf tin in the oven and bake the oat bread on the middle shelf for 60 minutes.
  7. After baking, remove the oat bread from the tin and leave to cool on a rack. 
Tip: feel free to decorate the oat bread. Seeds and kernels for a bit of extra crunch also work well as toppings.
