: Description:

Bauck Organic Burgerbun Brioche Baking Mix. This baking mix is a wonderful base for your own brioche buns. Whether as a savoury burger bun or as a sweet snack - they are made in no time and are wonderfully soft and fluffy. Ideal for a big burger party or a colourful coffee table, for a summer picnic in the meadow or a cosy evening.
Preparation:
Add these ingredients: 1 sachet of dry yeast, 225 ml lukewarm water, 50 g butter (vegan: margarine), 10 g sugar, some flour for moulding.
To coat: 1 egg or vegan: 4 tbsp soya/oat drink, optional: 1 tbsp sesame seeds.
  1. Place the baking mix in a bowl and mix with the dry yeast, then add the remaining ingredients. Mix with a hand mixer (dough hook) to form a smooth dough.
  2. Cover the dough and leave to rise in a warm place for 15 minutes. Then knead again briefly and shape the dough into 6 balls with floured hands.
  3. Place the dough balls on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Whisk the egg in a bowl and brush the dough line with it. Use soya or oat drink as an alternative to the egg. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp sesame seeds if desired.
  4. Cover the burger buns and leave to rise in a warm place for a further 45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 220 °C (top/bottom heat).
  5. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven at medium height, reduce the oven temperature to 200 °C and bake for approx. 20 minutes. Leave the finished burger buns to cool thoroughly before cutting.
