Spielberger Organic Whole Wheat Flour. Wheat is the classic bread grain and has excellent baking properties. At the Spielberger mill, the grain is ground in several steps to produce this fine whole wheat flour. This flour can be used for all wholesome pastries such as bread and rolls, savoury cakes or quiches.
Basic recipe: Wholemeal wheat bread
Ingredients: 500 g wholemeal flour, 10 g salt, 10 g fresh yeast, 350 ml water (lukewarm)
Preparation: Knead the wholemeal flour with the remaining ingredients in a bowl to form a dough and leave it covered in a warm place to rise for about 60 minutes. Then knead again, form an elongated loaf and place in a greased baking tin. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for another 30-45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 220 °C. Brush the bread with a little water and bake on the middle shelf for approx. 45 minutes.

First the most important thing: I am very surprised that wholemeal flour tastes so good, I won't buy any other. Second the unimportant: I read about the harmfulness of extract flours and the importance of wholemeal flours and ordered this flour to test whether I could handle the change in taste. And hooray. I can. Very well, in fact. I baked two cakes with it and they tasted at least as delicious as cakes with conventional extract flour, if not more so.

Zuerst das wichtigste: Ich bin sehr überrascht, dass Vollkornmehl so gut schmeckt, ich werde kein anderes mehr kaufen. Als zweites das unwichtige: Ich las von der Schädlichkeit der Auszugmehle und der Wichtigkeit der Vollkornmehle und bestellte dieses Mehl um zu testen, ob ich den Umstieg geschmacklich verkraften kann. Und hurra. Ich kann. Sehr gut sogar. Zwei Kuchen habe ich damit gebacken und sie schmeckten mindestens genau so köstlich wie Kuchen mit herkömmlichem Auszugmehl, wenn nicht sogar köstlicher.
