Spielberger Organic Wild Einkorn. Einkorn wheat is an ancient cereal. Enjoy its tender nutty flavour either ground or rolled into flakes for hot porridge, fresh muesli, in baked goods, for soups, patties or as a side dish.
Recipe: einkorn waffles
Ingredients: 150 g einkorn, 80 g butter, 60 g sugar or honey, 2 eggs, 1/4 teaspoon baking powder, 150 ml milk, grated lemon peel
Preparation: Finely grind the Einkorn. Separate the eggs, beat the egg whites until stiff. Beat butter with sugar/honey and add egg yolks until frothy. Add the einkorn flour, baking powder and grated lemon zest to the butter mixture and add the milk, leave to soak for 30 minutes. Then stir in the beaten egg whites and bake the waffles.
