Actually, this cream was supposed to be for my little son. But I must say, since I use this cream myself - especially for my hands - I am more than satisfied. The calendula soothes my chapped skin and provides sufficient moisture. Now the cream has become an all-rounder for the whole family, so I have to regularly replenish it.

Eigentlich sollte diese Creme für meinen kleinen Sohn sein. Aber ich muss sagen, seit ich diese Creme selbst benutze - vorallem für meinen Hände - bin ich mehr als zufrieden. Die Calendula beruhigt meine spröde Haut und spendet ausreichend Feuchtigkeit. Jetzt ist die Creme zum Allrounder für die ganze Familie geworden und deshalb muss ich regelmäßig für Nachschub sorgen.

Unfortunately, as with so many products with lanolin & the use of butylated hydroxyltoluene* (BHT for short) in the preparation of the lanolin, in my opinion no real caring effect. And unfortunately, these additives used for processing do not have to be declared - so BHT will only be found in the ingredients if it was added directly. Unfortunately, I had skilfully overlooked the little word "lanolin" = wool wax & wondered why small dry spots did not get better despite applying the cream several times a day. A second, apparently clearer, look at the ingredients and it was clear to me. :-(
* Some time ago, Weleda itself confirmed the use of BHT in the preparation of lanolin for another product in response to an enquiry by e-mail - lanolin would be difficult to prepare without BHT or something like that.
So either you search your fingers sore for an alternative with lanolin without the use of BHT (as I did some time ago) or you steer clear of products containing lanolin, which is also difficult but feasible ;-)

Leider wie bei so vielen Produkten mit Wollwachs & Einsatz von Butylhydroxyltoluol* (kurz BHT) bei der Aufbereitung des Wollwachses meines Erachtens kein wirklich pflegender Effekt. Und leider müssen diese zur Aufbereitung verwendeten Hilfsstoffe nicht deklariert werden - BHT wird also nur in den Inhaltsstoffen zu finden sein, wenn es direkt hinzugegeben wurde. Ich hatte leider das Wörtchen "Lanolin" = Wollwachs gekonnt übersehen & mich gewundert, warum kleine trockene Macken trotz täglich mehrfachen Eincremens nicht besser wurden. Ein zweiter, anscheinend klarerer, Blick auf die Inhaltsstoffe und es war mir klar. :-(
* Weleda selbst bestätigte mir vor einiger Zeit bzgl. eines anderen Produkts den Einsatz von BHT bei der Wollwachs-Aufbereitung auf eine Anfrage per Mail hin - Wollwachs wäre ohne BHT nur schlecht aufzubereiten oder etwas in der Art.
Entweder sucht man sich also die Finger wund nach einer Alternative mit Wollwachs ohne die Verwendung von BHT (wie ich vor einiger Zeit) oder man macht einen Bogen um wollwachshaltige Produkte, was auch schwer aber machbar ist. ;-)
