Spielberger Organic Oats, peeled

For porridge, patties and as a side dish

Spielberger Organic Oats, peeled in Demeter quality. Oat tastes slightly nutty and is very versatile in use. The grain is lightly kilned with warm air to give it its aromatic flavour. Use oats ground or rolled into flakes for warm porridges or fresh-grain muesli as well as for patties or soups. Ground oats should only be used fresh, otherwise they may taste bitter.
Recipe: porridge
Ingredients for 2-3 servings: 1 cup oats, 2 cups water, salt
Preparation: Coarsely grind the oats and add twice the amount of water and bring to the boil. Once boiling, add a pinch of salt. Simmer on the lowest heat for about 15-20 minutes. Remove the finished porridge from the heat and leave to swell for another 10 minutes. Serve with butter or sweeten with honey, mix in nuts and fresh fruit.
