: Description:
- Wash 1 kg of ripe fruit, chop and mix with 500 g gelling sugar and bring to the boil, stirring continuously. Continue boiling for at least 2 minutes, while stirring all the time. Then add 100 ml lemon juice and cook for a further 2 minutes. At the end of the cooking time, test whether the fruit preparation is set by putting a tablespoonful on a cold plate and allowing it to cool slightly. If the mixture is too runny, continue cooking for a further 1-2 minutes. When it is set, the boiling hot jam can be poured into clean jars to just below the rim. Screw on the lids tightly. Leave the jars standing upside down for approx. 5 minutes and allow to cool.
- Jelly from juice: Use 500 g gelling sugar for each 750 ml juice.
- Do not use more than 1 kg of fruit per 500 g gelling sugar for each batch.
- If using sour fruit (e.g. redcurrants, blackcurrants, quince, gooseberries), less lemon juice is needed.
- Leave firmer fruit (e.g. apricots, cherries) mixed with the gelling sugar to stand overnight.
- The pan should be large enough that it is only half full.

: Review date:For me, the Naturata jam sugar 2:1 made from raw cane sugar is the tastiest option for home-made jam. The price is quite high compared to the usual industrial jelling sugar, but I don't have any other undesirable ingredients for it. I added 2 tablespoons of lemon juice per 500 gr of sugar and find the result perfect. Simply defrost 1 kg of frozen raspberries in the pot (without heat), add the sugar according to the instructions and the lemon juice - mmmh.
Der Naturata Gelierzucker 2:1 aus Rohrohrzucker ist für mich die leckerste Variante für selbstgekochte Marmelade. Der Preis ist zwar im Vergleich zu dem üblichen Industrie-Gelierzucker ganz schön hoch, aber ich habe dafür auch keine weiteren unerwünschten Zutaten. Ich habe 2 Esslöffel Zitronensaft pro 500 gr Zucker hinzugegeben und finde das Ergebnis perfekt. 1 kg gefrorene Himbeeren im Topf einfach auftauenlassen (ohne Hitze), Zucker nach Anweisung dazu sowie den Zitronensaft - mmmh.

This is always great fun, especially for the children. The jams taste best when they are all natural, without too much sugar. I am very happy with Naturata's preserving sugar, as it contains no unnecessary additives and is not too sweet because of the cane sugar. Its price is reasonable for 500 grams and the gelling works perfectly. We have been using Naturata sugar exclusively for years and can recommend it to all jam makers with a good heart.
Wir haben einen sehr großen Garten mit vielen Früchten darin. Aus einem Teil dieser Früchte macht die ganze Familie jedes Jahr verschiedenste Marmeladen und Gelees. Besonders für die Kinder ist das immer ein großer Spaß. Die Marmeladen schmecken uns am Besten wenn sie ganz natürlich sind, ohne zu viel Zucker. Mit dem Gelierzucker von Naturata bin ich sehr zufrieden, da dieser keine unnötigen Zusätze enthält und durch den Rohrzucker auch nicht zu süß ist. Sein Preis ist für 500 Gramm angemessen und das Gelieren funktioniert einwandfrei.
