Salus Medicinal Tea Calendula Blossoms is a herbal medicine for inflammation in mouth and throat and for wound care. The calendula blossoms are prepared as a tea infusion and used for rinsing the mouth and throat area as well as for poultices.

Application:

Unless otherwise prescribed, rinse or gargle with a warm infusion in the mouth area 2 to 3 times a day. For application on wounds, poultices are prepared with an infusion twice to 3 times a day. The infusion is prepared as follows: douse 1 to 2 teaspoonful (approx. 0.8 to 1.6 g) of calendula blossoms with boiling water (approx. 150 ml) and strain after approx. 10 to 15 minutes.

Applications:
Internal, local applications: inflammation of the mucous membrane of mouth and throat.
External use: For the treatment of wounds, even with poor healing tendency, and lower leg ulcers.

Note:
If the symptoms of mild inflammation of the mucous membranes in mouth and throat persist for more than 1 week, recur or if unclear symptoms occur, a doctor should be consulted. In case of severe reddening of the wound margins, large, exuding or purulent wounds, consultation with a doctor is necessary.

Precautions for use and warnings:
For the use of calendula blossoms during pregnancy and breastfeeding period as well as in children under 12 years of age there are insufficient studies. Preparations made from calendula blossoms should therefore not be used by this group of persons.
