Naturata crispbread is made using the ‘ice-crisp method’, in which the loosening takes place purely physically, without raising agents such as yeast. To do this, the ingredients are mixed, cooled to below 10 °C and loosened by the incorporation of air. This creates the characteristic holey pattern that gives the crispbread its light and crispy consistency. Finally, the dough is spread out thinly and baked. Crispbread is equally suitable for sweet and savoury toppings and can be enjoyed at any time of the day.
