I’d previously been spoilt by another room fragrance. This fragrance is based, amongst other things, on verbena, lime and lemongrass, and I’m won over by its fresh, natural and unobtrusive scent. As that room fragrance has unfortunately become very expensive in the meantime, I looked for a more affordable alternative and opted for the Farfalla Organic Lemongrass Room Spray.
However, I was disappointed after using it for the first time. I’d been guided primarily by the product name ‘Lemongrass’ and the described top and heart notes (lemongrass, lemon and orange). Unfortunately, I’d underestimated the base note of frankincense, which is also present.
To my personal taste, the frankincense dominates the scent very clearly and masks the fresh citrus notes. Even several hours after spraying, the smell of frankincense was still clearly noticeable in the flat. Those who like warm, resinous and slightly oriental scents may even find this pleasant.
However, anyone who – like me – is looking for a fresh, crisp and predominantly lemony room fragrance should pay close attention to the fragrance description, and in particular the base notes, before buying. For my taste, therefore, this fragrance is unfortunately not an option. This is, of course, a subjective assessment, as fragrances are perceived differently by everyone.

Ich war bisher von einem anderen Raumduft verwöhnt. Dieser Duft basiert unter anderem auf Verbena (Eisenkraut), Limette und Lemongras und überzeugt mich durch seine frische, natürliche und unaufdringliche Duftcharakteristik. Da das Raumparfum inzwischen leider sehr teuer geworden ist, suchte ich nach einer günstigeren Alternative und entschied mich für den Farfalla Bio Raumspray Lemongras.
Nach dem ersten Einsatz war ich allerdings enttäuscht. Ich hatte mich vor allem vom Produktnamen „Lemongras“ sowie von den beschriebenen Kopf- und Herznoten (Lemongras, Zitrone und Orange) leiten lassen. Die ebenfalls enthaltene Basisnote Weihrauch hatte ich leider unterschätzt.
Für mein persönliches Empfinden dominiert der Weihrauch den Duft sehr deutlich und überdeckt die frischen Zitrusnoten. Selbst mehrere Stunden nach dem Versprühen war der Weihrauchgeruch in der Wohnung noch deutlich wahrnehmbar. Wer warme, harzige und leicht orientalische Duftnoten mag, wird das möglicherweise sogar als angenehm empfinden.
Wer jedoch – so wie ich – einen frischen, klaren und überwiegend zitronigen Raumduft sucht, sollte die Duftbeschreibung und insbesondere die Basisnoten vor dem Kauf genau beachten. Für meinen Geschmack ist der Duft daher leider keine Alternative. Das ist selbstverständlich eine subjektive Einschätzung, denn Düfte werden von jedem Menschen unterschiedlich wahrgenommen.

Really pleasantly mild and a nice fresh scent. I will certainly buy it again, even if the price is rather high.

Wirklich angenehm mild und schön frisch im Duft. Kaufe ich sicherlich nach, wenn auch preislich eher hoch.
