Fair Squared Condoms
Rubber, johnny, love glove or Parisian, the condom has many names. It is easy to use and in comparison to other contraceptives fairly cheap. In contrast to the coil, pill and so on, it also protects against sexually transmitted diseases. This practical double function owes the condom its enormous popularity. Just a few decades ago, “safer sex“ was an awkward topic for many men. Many felt embarrassed to ask for condoms in the pharmacy or in the drug store. And the men, who were not embarrassed, often did not feel like using the transparent overcoats. They were frowned upon by machos and were regarded as passion killers. Thanks to numerous sex education campaigns, especially in the 90s, the prejudices against ”rubbers“ are now over. If a condom is searched for, the erotic atmosphere is not gone, but approaches the climax...
Contrary to what many believe, the condom is not an invention of the 20th century. Condoms were already known in ancient times. Its predecessors are probably over 14,000 years old. At least at that time they were painted on the walls in the French cave Les Combarelles. Today's researchers interpret some of these Stone Age pictures as men with covered penises.
The first condom user in history was the legendary King Minos of Crete. According to the legend, his semen was fatal. In order to protect his wife Pasiphae, he used condoms made of goat bladders 3,500 years ago. This type of contraception was known in antiquity throughout the Mediterranean. How widespread the application actually was, however, is still largely unexplored. In the Middle Ages, the knowledge of King Minos' rubbers, like so many other achievements of antiquity, had fallen into oblivion. Only 1,000 years later the idea was picked up again. In the sixteenth century the syphilis entrapped by seafarers was a feared plague all over Europe. The Italian doctor Falloppio was looking for a way to protect his patients. Instead of sending them to celibacy, he distributed linen bags soaked in liquid. Thus began the development of the condom. By the way, its name comes from the English court physician Dr. Condom, who made his rubbers from mutton bowels. Supposedly he was even knighted for this innovation in 1655.
The most famous lover in history, Giacomo Girolamo Casanova, was definitely deeply in the debt of Dr. Condom. Without his invention, many of his love affairs would not have been possible. However, Casaonova was not satisfied with the standard version. It had to be the ”redingote anglaise“ (English riding jacket). This luxury version of the condom made of mutton bowels was additionally lined with velvet and silk. The hand-made rubbers were sinfully expensive and were washed, dried and reused after use. Cracks were repaired with glue from animal bone meal. The English riding jacket offered some protection against pregnancy and syphilis. It was not really pleasant to wear. That changed only when Charles Goodyear invented a process for vulcanizing rubber in the middle of the 19th century. The produced rubber latex was elastic and waterproof. The rubber could be used not only for tires, but also for condoms. In 1870 the mass production of the Goodyear condoms began. These were still twice as thick as today and had a longitudinal seam. Julius Fromm had the definite breakthrough in 1912. He dipped elongated glass flasks into the latex solution and was able to produce ultra-thin condoms without a seam. This process has not changed in its principle until today.
100 years after Julius Fromm, Fair Squared takes the next big step with vegan natural rubber. Vegan? Yes, because there is no casein (protein portion of the milk) used in the production. The Condoms of Fair Squared are available in four varieties. ”Original“ – for straightforward love without any compromises. For encounters with a lot of feeling there is the version ”Ultra Thin“ with a wall thickness of only 0.055 mm. Individual and creative is the ”Sensitive Dry“ variant – without lubricants. And for all men, who did not exaggerate when specifying the size, there is an ”XL“ one. The perfect addition to the vegan comfort condoms is the Lube & Massage Gel Green Tea. This water-soluble care product for body massage does not alter the pH value of the female flora. So it is ideally suited if the massage was only the beginning ...
