In 1973, Rainer Welke founded the ”Makrohaus“ in the Westphalian Münster. It was one of the first organic stores in Germany and became the basis for today's Davert GmbH. Purchasing, cleaning, quality control, storage and filling of grains from certified organic farming could now happen in one place. With a wide range of grains, legumes and seeds, Davert has also become an internationally recognized organic brand.
