CMD Natural Brine Deep Salt, fine. This rock salt is produced in the oldest salt works still in operation in Germany. It is extracted from a depth of approx. 460 metres and has been processed in the traditional way for over 50 years. This primordial salt comes from the protected depths of the Harz region. There was an ocean here in the Triassic period (approx. 250 million years ago). This ocean brought the valuable salt to the surface when it dried up.
The salt is free from drying agents and chemical additives. This means that the flavour of the salt is not adulterated and all minerals and trace elements are retained.
