BioGourmet Organic Spelt Bulgur. Deliciously nutty in flavour and quick to prepare, this delicious speciality is recommended for stir-fries, stews or as a filling ingredient in soups. Bulgur is "broken grain" - the grain is first carefully broken down with heat and water, then steamed and then coarsely chopped in a mill.
Basic recipe for one portion as a side dish:
Bring 40 g bulgur to the boil with twice the amount of water and a pinch of salt, simmer for 3 minutes, remove from the heat, cover and leave to swell for 15-20 minutes.
