BioGourmet Organic Risotto Rice. This round grain rice is traditionally used to prepare risottos of all kinds. The Carnaroli rice variety is ideal for this, as the grain does not overcook and retains its firm bite even when heated for a long time. Nevertheless, the risotto is wonderfully creamy, which is due to the high starch content. Sautéed with onions and cooked in a stock of Italian white wine, you can conjure up a feast for your family and friends with risotto rice!
Basic recipe (2 portions):
Finely chop 1 onion and sauté in a little olive oil, then add 150 g risotto rice until translucent. Deglaze with white wine, gradually pour in 600 ml vegetable stock and simmer over a medium heat for about 20 minutes.
