Weleda Balsamic Spirit of Melissa. Balsamic spirit of melissa is an over-the-counter (OTC) medicine for ingestion. It has a beneficial warming and antispasmodic effect. The natural distillate counteracts acute digestive complaints, which manifest themselves in nausea or cramp-like pain, without stressing the organism. Balsamic Spirit of Melissa is a distillate made from medicinal and aromatic plants. Angelica, bark of the cinnamon tree, lemon balm leaves, flower buds of the clove tree, nutmeg seeds and coriander fruits form its basis. Natural essential lemon oil complements the appealing aroma.

Application:

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is: In acute cases take 10 - 20 drops, if necessary also several times up to 5 times daily.
Weleda Balsamic Spirit of Melissa is taken on sugar or diluted with water. For toothache, a few drops can also be rubbed into the skin and gums.
Do not take a double dose if you have forgotten to use it before.

Duration of use: Treatment of the condition should be completed after 2 weeks. If there is no improvement within 3 days, a doctor should be consulted.

Application: According to the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature, the areas of application include a tendency to faint, dizzy spells, nausea, vomiting, acute disturbances of the motional processes and secretion of the gastrointestinal tract; toothache; cramp-like menstrual complaints.

Warnings and precautions:
Must not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients or during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not completely sure about the use of this medicine. Weleda Balsamische Melissengeist should not be used in children under 12 years of age as there is insufficient documented experience.

10 g (= 11 ml) contain: 3.67 g distillate of: 0.11 g angelica root; 0.065 g cloves; 0.075 g coriander; 0.45 g lemon balm leaves; 0.22 g nutmeg seeds; 0.15 g cinnamon bark; 0.006 g citron oil (drugs : ethanol 29% (m/m) = 1 : 6.7)
Other ingredients: Ethanol 96%, purified water.

Contains 63 Vol.-% Alkohol.
