Application:
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose for adults and children from 1 year of age is: For compresses on uninjured skin, add 1 tablespoon of Weleda Arnica Essence to 1/4 l of water. Soak a compress or a suitable cloth with the diluted essence and apply to the injured area.
There may be some clouding. To ensure even distribution when dispensing, the bottle should be shaken before use.
Do not use a double dose if you have forgotten the previous application.
Duration of use:
The compress is renewed every quarter to half an hour at first, and later at longer intervals. The treatment is continued until the symptoms subside and should be completed after 2 weeks. If there is no improvement within 2-5 days, a doctor should be consulted.
Application areas:
According to the anthroposophical understanding of man and nature, the areas of application include the stimulation and harmonisation of the metabolic and form processes in the case of tissue and organ damage, especially after mechanical effects and in the case of disturbances of the blood supply; blunt injuries of all kinds such as strains, bruises, contusions, haematomas.
Warnings and precautions:
Must not be used on open wounds or if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to arnica or other compositae such as chrysanthemum and yarrow.

Weleda Arnica Essence should only be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding after consulting a doctor.
Weleda Arnica Essence should not be used on infants in the 1st year of life, as there is insufficient documented experience.
Ingredients/INCI:
10 g (= 10.4 ml) contain: Arnica, Planta tota Ø 6 g.
Other ingredient: ethanol 30% (m/m).
Contains 36 Vol -% alcohol.

Do not store above 25 °C.

Side effects:
Due to the alcohol content, frequent application of the essence to the skin may cause irritation or inflammation and skin dryness.
Like all medicines, Weleda Arnica Essence can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
When preparations containing arnica are applied to the skin, allergic reactions in the form of itching and reddening of the skin with the formation of blisters (eczema) may occur, mostly as a result of pre-existing allergies or because of so-called cross-reactions in the case of hypersensitivity to other composite flowers such as chrysanthemums. Frequent and prolonged use can promote the development of new allergies to arnica.
