: Description:
Seitenbacher Organic Natural Sourdough. Baking with sourdough has almost been forgotten in the household. This product makes it possible to bake with the taste as in great-grandmother's time, even using an automatic baking machine. Sourdough is one of the oldest natural baking ingredients for bread. It gives your home-baked bread a unique flavour and keeps it fresh for longer.
Recipe example
Bread baking machine:
Yeast 10 g (above)
Bread flour 500 g
Sourdough 75 g
Salt 10 g
Water 300 g (bottom)
Place in the baking machine and start the baking programme according to the operating instructions.
Preparation for the oven:
500 g flour
1-2 teaspoons (10 g) salt
300 ml lukewarm water
1 sachet (10 g) baker's yeast
1-2 teaspoons (10 g) sugar
1 bag (75 g) sourdough
Mix the baker's yeast with a little sugar or honey in lukewarm water, wait a few minutes until it starts to foam, then knead the sourdough and the other ingredients into a smooth dough. Cover the dough and leave it to rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes. Knead again briefly and then place in a greased baking tin. Fill halfway and leave to rise again in a warm place for approx. 20-30 minutes until the dough has increased in volume (approx. double the height of the dough).
Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for about 15 minutes and at 180°C for 45 minutes, then brush the finished loaf with water and leave to cool on a cooling rack. Bon appétit!
