Scio Nature Bad Aiblinger Moor Cushion Universal 22 x 18 cm to support the treatment of: rheumatic complaints, joint and back pain, menstrual pain.

Instruction on use 

Heat Application
The Heat Application is used for chronic pains and relaxations, e.g. for tense muscles, backache, degenerative joints diseases (e.g. arthrosis) or menstrual pains. 
Do not heat to more than 50°C!
Do not heat up in the oven!

The optimum starting temperature is 45-50°C.
Before applying, check that you can tolerate the temperature on the back of your hand.
With higher temperatures put a towel underneath. 
If the cushion is heated to temperatures that are too high or it comes into contact with hot metal parts, this will destroy the film. 

Heating up: 

A. In a water bath
  1. Heat water up in a cooking pot of standard household size until it comes to the boil.
  2. Take the pot off the bob.
  3. Insert a long, narrow object (e.g. a wooden spoon through the flap of the Moor Cushion to prevent the Moor Cushion being fully submerged in the water. 
  4. Suspend the Moot Cushion in the Water, the Moor Cushion can be folded up for this.
  5. Remove after 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the size of the Moor Cushion and the user's sensitivity to heat, dry it and place it on the area of the body being treated. Alternatively, boiling water can be poured over the Moor Cushion.
  6. Another alternative: heat water up in a kettle and pour into a cooking pot. Put the moor cushion in the pot and leave to stand for 10-15 minutes. 
B. In the microwave
Heating in the microwave reduces the life of the cover material. The "Therapy" Moor Cushion is not suitable for heating up in the microwave. It should therefore be heated up only in a water abth. 
Place Moor Cushion, folded if necessary, in the microwave. Set the microwave at a maximum of 600 Watts

How long to apply with heat application: Until it cools down to body temperature.

Cold Application: 
The cold application should be used for acute pain and inflammation, e.g. for sprains, bruising or acute inflammatory joint processes. 

Do not put in the freezer compartment!

The optimum starting temperature is +3°C to +6°C. With lower temperatures put a towel underneath.

Cooling: Put Moor Cushion in the refrigerator for at least one hour. 

How long to apply with cold application: Until it warms up to the body temperature, albeit not more than twenty minutes in one session.  

Storage:
Keep your Moor Cushion in the original packaging as far as possible. Store in a cool place.

Used properly, the Moor Cushion can be used for about 2 years after the date of manufacture because of the long life of the film.

This is a great product. This is exactly what I was looking for. It is soft, it is cuddly and the heat is stored well in it. It's a bit more expensive than conventional ones, but the quality is convincing. But I can't use it without a cover or pillow, because it gets uncomfortable very quickly.
