The story of Savon du Midi began more than 30 years ago at the weekly markets in Berlin. Today, the organic soaps are part of the permanent range of many natural cosmetics shops throughout Europe. The brand was based in Berlin for more than 20 years. Since 2019, Savon du Midi has been part of Treibholz GmbH from Korschenbroich in North Rhine-Westphalia. The organic pioneers of Treibholz have been synonymous with the high-quality natural cosmetics of the Finigrana brand and traditional Aleppo soap, which is produced in Turkey and Syria according to recipes that are over 1,000 years old, since 1978. Down-to-earth quality also remains the top priority for Savon du Midi soaps. The traditional soaps with a soap base made from 100% organic vegetable oils are produced in Provence, France. Shea butter and, depending on the variety, perfume or essential oil are added during the final processing. No animal fats are used in any of the soaps. Most of the soaps are even vegan - only "Honey Almond" in the flower soaps, and the "Honey" and "Milk & Honey" varieties in the shea soaps contain honey extract and milk powder. The shea soaps are labelled and packaged by hand in the local German organic manufactory.
