The karité soap owes its name to the karité butter it contains, which is also known as shea butter. This is the vegetable fat obtained from the fruits of the karité tree (aka. shea tree). Because of its moisturizing qualities, shea butter has been used for skin care in Africa for centuries. The addition of shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter) makes soap softer and skin cleansing more gentle.

Barely perceptible fragrance. The soap is brown and leaves unsightly brown stains on the soap dish, which you then have to remove regularly.

Kaum wahrnehmbarer Duft. Die Seife ist braun und hinterlässt unschöne braune Flecken an der Seifenschale, die man dann regelmäßig entfernen muss.

The soap does its job, but is more or less odourless. So if you want to try it because of its possibly great smell, you should put another soap in your shopping cart. However, it cleans properly and forms a pleasant lather.

Die Seife erfüllt ihren Zweck, ist allerdings mehr oder weniger geruchlos. Wer sie also aufgrund ihres möglicherweise tollen Geruchs testen möchte, sollte eine andere Seife in den Warenkorb legen. Sie reinigt jedoch ordentlich und bildet einen angenehmen Schaum.
