The traditional expertise of the art of soap making, often passed down orally over generations, make this soap so special. Treat yourself to a piece of Provence.
The karité soap owes its name to the karité butter it contains, which is also known as shea butter. This is the vegetable fat obtained from the fruits of the karité tree (aka. shea tree). Because of its moisturizing qualities, shea butter has been used for skin care in Africa for centuries. The addition of shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter) makes soap softer and skin cleansing more gentle.

I have bought several Savon du Midi soaps and am very disappointed by the short life of the fragrance. They have a beguiling scent when unpacked, but after a few days the essential oil of the soap bar is unfortunately barely perceptible. Nothing beats the classic Speick soap - if you prefer an intense soap fragrance.

Ich habe mehrere Savon du Midi Seifen gekauft und bin sehr enttäuscht von der Kurzlebigkeit des jeweiligen Duftes. Beim Auspacken duften sie betörend, doch nach ein paar Tagen ist das ätherische Öl des Seifenstücks leider kaum noch wahrnehmbar. Es geht doch nichts über die klassische Speick Seife - wenn man intensiven Seifenduft bevorzugt.

I have loved Savon du Midi soaps for years (I have used Pine and Lime so far). I haven't used shower gel for years, not even natural cosmetics, if only as an exception. Since then, my skin is much less prone to dryness, especially in winter. I use cream or body lotion regularly after showering. The soaps smell pleasantly fresh and well-groomed, the scent doesn't last that long, my husband always uses them too. I find the price-performance ratio super.

Ich liebe seit Jahren die Seifen von Savon du Midi (Pinie und Linde habe ich bisher benutzt). Seit Jahren benutze ich kein Duschgel mehr, auch nicht Naturkosmetik, wenn nur als Ausnahme. Meine Haut neigt seitdem weitaus weniger zu Trockenheit, vor allem im Winter. Creme oder Bodylotion benutze ich regelmäßig nach dem Duschen. Die Seifen riechen angenehm frisch und gepflegt, der Duft hält nicht so lange, mein Mann benutzt sie auch immer. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis finde ich super.

Like all Savon du Midi soaps, this is a wonderfully pleasant, fine lather with an excellent cleansing effect. The pine scent is wonderfully natural, but could be a little stronger to my taste. All in all, a wonderful soap, full marks.

Wie alle Savon du midi Seifen wunderbar angenehm, feiner Schaum mit hervorragender Reinigungswirkung. Der Pinienduft ist wunderbar natürlich, dürfte nach meinem Geschmack aber noch etwas kräftiger sein. Insgesamt trotzdem eine wundervolle Seife, volle Punktzahl.
