Savon du Midi Karité Soap Lemongrass has a fresh and lemony fragrance with a fruity note. Like all other vegetable oil soaps from Savon du Midi, the Karité soaps are made by small soap manufacturers in Provence, France. The traditional expertise of the art of soap making, often passed down orally over generations, make this soap so special. Treat yourself to a piece of Provence.
The karité soap owes its name to the karité butter it contains, which is also known as shea butter. This is the vegetable fat obtained from the fruits of the karité tree (aka. shea tree). Because of its moisturizing qualities, shea butter has been used for skin care in Africa for centuries. The addition of shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter) makes soap softer and skin cleansing more gentle.

I consciously try to create less plastic waste and have therefore been using solid soaps for a long time. The Karité Lemongrass soap leaves nothing to be desired. It is economical, smells good and my hands don't feel dry at all.

I have loved lemongrass soap since my holiday in Asia. And after my stock was running low, I had to think about reordering. The soap from Savon du Midi was my first choice and it seems I was lucky. Nice fine lather, very productive and just this excellent scent.

This soap is pleasant to the skin, it lathers well and the skin feels very well cared for. And then there is the fragrance. It smells wonderfully of lemon. Soon a little too much. My skin, my bathroom, even the cupboard it was in is full of the scent of lemongrass. A little more subtle would be better (in my opinion).

Diese Seife ist angenehm hautverträglich, sie schäumt gut und die Haut fühlt sich sehr gepflegt an. Und dann der Duft. Es duftet wunderbar nach Zitrone. Bald ein bisschen zu viel. Meine Haut, mein Bad, selbst der Schrank, in dem sie lag, ist voller Lemongrass-Duft. Einbisschen dezenter wäre (nach meinem Empfinden) besser.
