The history of Salus began at the beginning of the 20th century with the physician Otto Greither. Based on his own medical history, he assumed that many medical conditions were due to metabolic disorders. In order to stabilize the metabolism in a natural way, he developed the ”Salus cure“. However as a doctor, he was not allowed to sell medicine. That's why his wife Thea took over this task. In addition to the cure-pack with oil and lozenges, the first herbal teas were offered after a short time. In the following decades the assortment grew incessantly. In one thing, Salus has remained faithful to this day: whether tablets, tea, tonic, drops or elixirs, the basis of the Salus products are still valuable medicinal plants and medicinal herbs.
