Application:

Unless otherwise prescribed, take half a teaspoonful (approx. 1.5 ml) 2 to 3 times a day for calming and 1 teaspoonful (approx. 3 ml) of Salus Valerian Drops diluted with a little water half an hour before going to bed for sleep disorders. If the effect is not sufficient for sleep disorders, an additional 1 teaspoonful can be taken before dinner.

Overdose and application errors:
The ingestion of 10 g or more of Salus Valerian Drops may - especially in small children - lead to alcohol poisoning; in this case there is a danger to life, which is why a doctor should be consulted immediately.
If the entire contents of the bottle are ingested, 33 g of alcohol are absorbed.

Ingredients/INCI:

100 ml of liquid contain as active ingredient:
100 ml of tincture from valerian root (1:5)
Extracting agent: ethanol 70% (V /V).

Additional Information:

Contains 66% alcohol by volume.
Do not store above 25 °C.

Warnings and precautions for use:
Because of the alcohol content, Salus Valerian Drops should only be used by liver patients, epileptics, brain patients or brain-damaged persons after consulting a doctor.
If the nervous disturbances in falling asleep and/or the restlessness persist for a long time, a doctor should be consulted, as with all unclear complaints.
No adequate studies are available on the use of Salus Valerian Drops in children under 12 years of age. Salus Valerian Drops should therefore not be taken by children under 12 years of age.
No adequate studies have been carried out on the use of Salus Valerian Drops during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Salus Valerian Drops should therefore not be taken by pregnant women and nursing mothers.

Contraindications:
Salus Valerian Drops should not be used by alcoholics.

Interactions with other medicines:
The effect of other medicines may be impaired or enhanced.

Side effects:
When Salus Valerian Drops are taken, even when used as intended, the ability to react may be altered to such an extent that the ability to actively participate in road traffic or to operate machinery is impaired. This applies to a greater extent in combination with alcohol.
