Application:
For dosing the Sage Herbal Drops, please first remove the attached measuring cup and then the white spout from the cap. Open the bottle and screw the spout with the threaded side onto the neck of the bottle.
Now measure the required dose (0.5 ml) with the help of the measuring cup.
Internal use:
Adults take 0.5 ml 3 times daily with some liquid.
External use:
For gargling and rinsing the mouth, adults add 0.5 ml to a glass (approx. 150 ml) of warm water 3 times a day.
Use the solution for gargling or mouth rinsing. Make sure to empty the measuring cup completely. If necessary, you can rinse with liquid, preferably drinking water. After use, unscrew the spout from the bottle again and close it with the cap. Please clean the measuring cup and the spout by rinsing with warm water and put both back on the sealing cap.
The use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is not intended.
There are insufficient data for specific dosage recommendations in cases of impaired renal function and/or liver function.
Duration of use:
Internal use: Do not use for longer than 2 weeks.
External use, gargling, rinsing of mucous membranes in the mouth and throat area: Do not use for longer than 1 week.

If you have taken or used a larger amount of Sage Herbal Drops than you should:.
If you accidentally take double or triple a single dose (equivalent to 1 ml to 1.5 ml of this medicine), this will not usually have any adverse effects.
There are no reports of an overdose of sage leaves. It has been reported that ingestion of sage oil (corresponding to a dosage of more than 15 g sage leaves) caused heat sensation, tachycardia (rapid heartbeat), vertigo (dizziness) and epileptiform convulsions (seizures).
Note, however, that in the event of an overdose, the alcohol in Sage Herbal Drops significantly reduces the ability to actively participate in road traffic and to operate machinery.
If symptoms occur, consult a doctor.
If you forget to take or use sage herbal drops, do not take/apply twice the amount the next time, but continue the application as described in the dosage instructions.
What should you bear in mind before taking or using sage herbal drops?
Sage herbal drops must not be taken/used,
- if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to sage, sulphur dioxide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine mentioned.
- if you are alcoholic.
Warnings and precautions:
Due to the alcohol content, the medicinal product should only be taken by liver patients, epileptics and patients with organic diseases of the brain after consultation with the doctor.
Intake of sage herbal drops together with other medicinal products.
There are no systematic studies on interactions with sage leaves.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or intend to take/use any other medicinal products.
Pregnancy and nursing:
The safety during pregnancy and nursing has not been adequately studied. For this reason and due to the alcohol content, the intake/application of sage herbal drops is not recommended for pregnant women and nursing mothers. It should be noted that the use in women of childbearing age who are not using contraception must also be carefully considered, as a possible pregnancy is not yet known.
No data are available on reproductive capacity.
Ingredients/INCI:
1 ml liquid contains as active substance: 908 mg extract of sage leaves (1 : 4.0 - 6.0).
Extractant: liqueur wine : ethanol 96 % (V/V) (38,25 : 61,75 m/m) (liqueur wine produced with the addition of sulphur dioxide)
Other ingredients: None.
Additional Information:
Do not store above 25 °C.
Shelf life after opening: 6 months
This medicinal product contains 65% alcohol by volume, sulphur dioxide and sucrose (sugar).
Side effects:
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Possible side effects: No side effects known. If you experience any side effects, please ask your doctor or pharmacist or healthcare professional.
Other possible side effects: Sulphur dioxide may rarely cause hypersensitivity reactions and spasm of the airways (bronchospasm).

The intake of sage herbal drops should be interrupted in this case.
