Salus Medicinal Tea Horsetail. The medicinal tea consists of horsetail and is prepared as a tea infusion. For internal use for oedema and for rinsing the urinary tract. The tea infusion can also be prepared for poultrices and used external to support poorly healing wounds.

Application:

Unless prescribed otherwise, drink one cup of the tea infusion 3 times a day. The infusion is prepared as follows: pour boiling water (approx. 150 ml) over 1 filter bag in a cup and leave to infuse for about 10 to 15 minutes. Note: Make sure to drink sufficient of liquid.
For poultices: use 5 filter bags for 1 litre of water.

Applications:
Internal use for: persisting and post-injury oedema (fluid retention in the body); for rinsing the urinary tract and for kidney gravel.
External use for: supportive treatment of poorly healing wounds.

Duration of use:
If symptoms persist for more than 1 week or recur periodically, a doctor should be consulted.

1 filter bag contains 2.0 g horsetail (Equiseti herba).

Additional Information:

For use in adults and children from 12 years of age.

Contraindications:
None known. Note: in the case of oedema (water retention in the body) due to impaired heart or kidney function a rinsing therapy is not indicated.
