Salus Medicinal Tea Blueberry. The herbal, over the counter (OTC) medicinal product can be used for non-specific, acute diarrhoea and mild inflammation of the mucous membranes in mouth and throat. For drinking, rinsing or gargling after preparing a tea infusion.

Application:

Unless otherwise prescribed, drink one cup of the tea infusion twice to 6 times a day in case of diarrhea and prepare as follows: pour 1 tablespoonful (approx. 10 g) of crushed blueberries with approx. 150 ml water and boil for approx. 10 to 15 minutes. Then strain while hot.
For rinsing and gargling, prepare an infusion in the specified or required amount as follows: douse 10 g blueberries with 100 ml water, boil for about 10 to 15 minutes and then strain while hot.

Applications:
Non-specific, acute diarrhea; slight inflammation of the mucous membranes in mouth and throat.

Notes:
In the case of diarrhea that lasts longer than 2 days, when blood is mixed with the diarrhea or when temperature rises, a doctor should be consulted. In case of diarrhoeal diseases in infants and young children the consultation with the doctor is generally requird. If the symptoms of mild inflammation of the mucous membranes in mouth and throat persist for more than 1 week, if they recur or if non-specific difficulties arise, a doctor should be consulted.

Precautions for use and warnings:
In case of diarrhea, it is most important to pay special attention to a sufficient liquid supply as well as salts (electrolysis). The widespread use of blueberries as a medicine or in food has so far shown no evidence of risk. However, there are insufficient studies on the use of blueberries during pregnancy and breastfeeding period and children under 12 years of age. The use of blueberry preparations is therefore not recommended for this group of persons.
