Adults take 1 ml 2 to 3 times a day, for appetite stimulation about ½ hour before meals, for digestive problems directly after meals.
It is not intended for use in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
There is insufficient data for specific dosage recommendations in the case of impaired kidney function.

If you have taken a much larger amount of Bittry Gentian Drops for minor digestive complaints than you should:.
Taking larger amounts of the medicine may cause alcohol poisoning, especially in young children.
In this case, there is a danger to life and a doctor should be consulted immediately. Ingestion of the entire contents of the bottle (50 ml) results in 30 g of alcohol. Please note a possible effect on the ability to drive and operate machinery.

Do not take double the amount next time, but continue taking the drops as described in the dosage instructions.
It is possible that if you take too much Bittry Gentian Drops for minor digestive complaints, you may experience more of the side effects listed below.

This medicinal product contains 67% alcohol by volume. If the dosage instructions are followed, up to 0.53 g of alcohol per 1 ml is supplied with each intake.
There is a health risk, among others, in liver patients, alcoholics, epileptics, patients with organic diseases of the brain, pregnant women, nursing mothers and children. The effect of other medicines may be impaired or increased.

Side effects:
Like all medicines, Bittry Gentian Drops for minor digestive complaints can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Possible side effects:
- Occasionally (up to 1 in 100 people treated), gastrointestinal discomfort may occur.
- Rarely (up to 1 in 1000 people treated), heart palpitations and hypersensitivity reactions such as itching may occur.
- The occurrence of headaches is possible. The frequency of occurrence cannot be estimated on the basis of the available data.
