Rapunzel bioSnacky Glass Germinator Starter Set. This set contains 1 bioSnacky sprouting jar and 4 bags of bioSnacky sprouting seeds. Turn your kitchen into a garden. Grow your crispy, fresh sprouts by yourself. It's fun. Sprouts and seedlings complement the light cuisine in every season.
Instructions: 
  1. Prepare - Rinse the glass germinator with cold water. Put the germinator in a bright, warm place. Avoid direct sunlight.
  2. Rinse - Place seeds in the glass. After fitting the sieve over the glass opening, fill with fresh, cold water and allow water to drain out again immediately.
  3. Soak - Pour enough cold water into the glass to cover the seeds. Move the seeds around in the glass germinator from time to time to aerate them.
  4. Water - After fitting the sieve over the glass opening, fill with fresh, cold water and allow water to drain out again immediately. Then place the germinator on a dish with the sieve pointing downwards at an angle to allow any remaining water to drain off.
  5. Harvest - Harvest fresh, crunchy shoots and sprouts 3-7 days later.
  6. Clean - All the objects used must be carefully cleaned (glass germinater, sieve, water container, spoon, etc.) preferably using fruit vinegar and a soft brush. The germinator can be dishwashed (max. 65°C). Rinse with clear water and leave to dry.

    7. The glass germinator is not suitable for mucilaginous seeds such as cress and rucola/arugula. It is also not suitable for sprouted broccoli because the seeds are too small.
    Wash harvested sprouts before consuming. Store sprouts a maximum of 2-3 days in the fridge.

Seeds do not germinate if
  • the seeds are too close together (see quantity recommendations on the package),
  • the seeds were not watered carefully enough,
  • the room temperature is too low or too high during germination (ideal temperature 18-22° C),
  • not special, e.g. the highly germinable original bioSnacky sprouting seeds, were used.
In case of unfavorable conditions (waterlogging, too much or too little water, wrong temperatures and lighting conditions etc.) it can lead to mold growth. The mold smells slightly musty and must not be confused with the fine roots.
