Raab Birch Sugar in a bigger pack containing 750g is a sugar substitute which can be compared with household sugar in regard to appearance, taste and sweetness. It got its name because it was discovered in the nutritious fibers of the birch bark. In contrast to household sugar, birch sugar has about 40% fewer calories. It has a low glycemic index of 7 (in contrast to household sugar which has a glycemic index of 70) and is interesting for all of those people who are interested in maintaining a stable blood sugar level. Furthermore, birch sugar can be a valuable aid in improved dental health because the bacteria found in peoples’ mouths cannot metabolize Xylitol – in contrast to sugar. Birch sugar naturally can be found in many fruits, berries and vegetables. Furthermore, it is produced in small quantities when glucose is metabolized.

Besides coconut blossom sugar, the only product I sweeten with! No artificial aftertaste or anything like that! In terms of price (100g price), I have not found anything that would have been cheaper with this quality. Highly recommended!

Neben Kokosblütenzucker das einzige Produkt, mit dem ich süße! Kein künstlicher Beigeschmack oder ähnliches! Vom Preisverhältnis (100g Preis) habe ich nichts gefunden, was bei dieser Qualität günstiger gewesen wäre. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Since I don't eat "sugar", I sweeten with stevia if necessary. If I want the "body" of the sugar for the taste, I use birch sugar. This is optimal and even good for the teeth.

Da ich keinen "Zucker" esse, süsse ich ggf. mit Stevia. Wenn ich den "Körper" des Zuckers für den Geschmack haben will, nehme ich Birkenzucker. Das ist optimal und sogar gut für die Zähne.
