Stevia (botanical: Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni) is a perennial plant native to South America, which is also referred to as "sweet herb" or "honeywort". With regard to the sweetening power, 1 level tsp Stevia Plus Sweetener (2 g) corresponds to 1 tsp of household sugar (6 g), depending on the taste also a little less. When weighing, about a third of the sugars indicated in the recipes is sufficient.
