: Review date:The cranberry cream from Nabio was probably the first spread that I "misjudged" or simply had a different expectation of the flavour. For me, cranberry cream means "must be sweet", with chilli "of course sweet, there's also chocolate with chilli for that special kick". Well, I was wrong. It is a rather neutral to savoury spread that occasionally has a fruity note with pieces of cranberry. The chilli has a slight, very pleasant spiciness that goes well with sliced cheese. However, as I was expecting a sweet, fruity spread, I was disappointed that I was so wrong about the product name. But if you are looking for a subtle, mildly spicy spread for bread and rolls, this is just the thing.
Die Cranberry Creme von Nabio war wohl der erste Aufstrich, bei dem ich mich "vergriffen" habe oder einfach eine andere Erwartung zum Geschmack hatte. Cranberry Creme heißt für mich "muss wohl süß sein", mit Chilli "ja klar süß, es gibt ja auch Schokolade mit Chilli für den besonderen Pepp". Naja, falsch gedacht. Es ist ein eher neutraler bis herzhafter Aufstrich, der ab und an mit Cranberry-Stückchen eine fruchtige Note aufweist. Die Chilli hat eine leichte, sehr angenehme Schärfe, die sich gut mit Käseaufschnitt macht. Da ich allerdings mit einem süßen, fruchtigen Aufstrich gerechnet habe, war ich enttäuscht, dass ich mich so im Produktnamen geirrt habe. Doch wer einen dezenten, sanft scharfen Aufstrich für Brot und Brötchen sucht, fährt damit genau richtig.
