Lemaroc wanted to create soaps that are creamier and more pampering than ever before: With the Moroccans´ traditional knowledge of the secret powers of Argan oil, Lemaroc has cold-stirred all natural, beautifying soaps by hand, and added various essential oils to round them off. A wonderfully scented ornament for every bathroom.
Argan oil - which because of its precious ingredients and wonderfully beneficial effects is also known as "Morocco's liquid gold", is won from the fruit of the thorny argan tree. First of all the pulp is removed by hand. Then the hard nutshells are carefully cracked and the seeds inside removed and only the very best nuts are selected for gentle roasting and pressing. Gertraud Völkl, the founder of Lemaroc, chose the area around Essaouira for her precious Lemaroc argan oil. It was here that after months of searching and sampling she finally found argan seeds which were especially rich in character and which convey the nuances of the nutty flavour with unsurpassed finesse.

The local Berber women bring their harvest from the chosen area to collection points where the argan fruit is carefully selected by the Lemaroc representative according to stringent quality standards. He then brings the fruit to the women of his village to be crushed by hand according to the traditional methods. This enables the women to contribute to the family income while leaving them free to organise their own time. As they usually work in groups they are also able to draw strength from the contact and solidarity with other women. After the fruit has been crushed, the carefully separated seeds are forwarded to the argan oil producing Moroccon company founded by Gertraud Völkl. Here the argan seeds are once again sorted by hand as only the very best seeds are chosen for gentle roasting.

The heavy manual labour of pressing the oil by hand has been taken over by machines. This not only frees the women from the hardest aspect of the work, it also enables us to maintain a uniformly high standard of quality combined with optimal hygenic conditions. The oils are cold-pressed in order to preserve the full richness of their active ingredients and to pass on the natural flavour in all its purity.The oil used for cosmetic purposes is pressed from unroasted seeds.

This soap is one of our favourites because it is super economical, does not dry out the skin and smells subtly of lavender. We use it mainly for showering; for washing our hands we use the neutral basic soap from Lemaroc.

So for me, there is nothing to complain about with this soap. I even find it a blessing for my skin. And I use it on my whole body. Face, hands, everything. Pleasant fragrance, gentle to use and soft skin afterwards. For the sake of curiosity, I will change the type now and then, but it will always be Argan oil soap from Lemaroc.

Also für mich gibt es bei dieser Seife nichts zu meckern. Ich empfinde es sogar als Wohltat für meine Haut. Und ich benutze sie für meinen ganzen Körper. Gesicht, Hände, alles. I cannot understand Lea L.'s very good rating. The soap does smell more intense than Sodasan's lavender soap (whose scent is no longer perceptible after the first hand wash), but unfortunately not at all like lavender. I don't know what the scent is, but it's not lavender! In fact, I find the smell so unpleasant that I have banned the soap from my bathroom.

Ich kann die sehr gute Bewertung von Lea L. nicht nachvollziehen. Die Seife riecht zwar intensiver als die Lavendelseife von Sodasan (deren Duft nach dem ersten Händewaschen nicht mehr wahrnehmbar ist), aber leider gar nicht nach Lavendel. Keine Ahnung, was das für ein Geruch ist, aber es ist kein Lavendelduft! Ich finde den Geruch sogar so unangenehm, dass ich die Seife aus meinem Bad verbannt habe.

Lemaroc Argan Oil Soap - by now the very best soap for me. Rose and lavender are my favourites! Lemaroc has completely replaced my favourite organic coconut soaps from Ölmühle Solling, which I used with enthusiasm for many years.
