In the summer of 1979, company founder Ulrich Walter took over an organic shop in the northern German town of Diepholz. He quickly realizes that there was no such thing as tea, coffee and spices in organic quality yet. So he began to search for it. His travels took him to southern France, Egypt and later to India. Over the next couple of decades, the small organic shop named Lebensbaum developed into a medium-sized company specializing in the production of organic tea, organic coffee and organic spices. While many processes have been constantly optimized, one thing did not change: With regard to quality, Lebensbaum does not make any compromises. Only 100% organic raw materials are processed.
