Was mir sofort auffällt, sind die großen Blätter. Hat man nicht immer bei losem Tee. Doch bei Kräutergarten Pommerland scheint das die Regel zu sein. Jedenfalls bei allen, die ich bis jetzt bestellt hatte, war es so. Und die Apfelminze macht da keine Ausnahme. Und schmecken tut der Tee hervorragend.

Teetrinker kennen natürlich den Geschmack von Apfelminze. Doch so hochwertigen hatte ich noch nicht. Ein Genuss! Gut finde ich auch, dass die Blätter noch weitestgehend ganz abgefüllt werden und man sie selbst zerkrümeln muss. So habe ich wirklich ein noch intensiveres Geschmackserlebnis.

Compared to the apple mint of another (Austrian) supplier, the taste of this variety is finer and cleaner. The "bubblegum" flavour, which is quite typical for apple mint, is rather subtle and cultivated and contains practically no menthol. Instead, the aftertaste reveals a wonderful, finely acidic apple note that actually reminds one of apple juice. - As with many plant families, there is an almost unmanageable number of species, varieties and cultivated forms in the field of mints. So it is not surprising that there are several varieties of apple mint with different flavours. - This one rightly bears its name!
Die allerfeinste Qualität wird mit der "Kräutergarten Pommerland"-Apfelminze geboten. Im Vergleich zur Apfelminze eines anderen (österreichischen) Anbieters fällt der Geschmack dieser Sorte feiner und sauberer aus. Das für Apfelminze durchaus typische "Kaugummiaroma" ist eher dezent und kultiviert und enthält praktisch keine Mentholanteile. Dafür zeigt sich im Nachgeschmack eine wunderbare feinsäuerliche Apfelnote, die tatsächlich an Apfelsaft erinnert. - Wie bei vielen Pflanzenfamilien gibt es im Bereich der Minzen eine schier unüberschaubare Zahl von Arten, Sorten und Kulturformen. So ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass es auch mehrere, geschmacklich unterschiedliche Sorten der Apfelminze gibt. - Diese hier trägt ihren Namen zu Recht!
