To mix, you need hot water, a thermometer, a spoon, a heat-resistant bowl, a whisk and to apply, a dye brush, a comb, hair clips and a towel to protect your clothes. 1 pair of gloves and bonnet are already included in the pack.
1. Preparation: Wash your hair with a natural shampoo. Tip: if your hair has been chemically treated, or if you use styling or hair care products with synthetic ingredients, you should use Khadi Deep Charcoal Cleanse Hair Mask to deep clean your hair before colouring.
2. Mix the colour: Put the gloves on. Pour your Khadi Natural Hair Color or Khadi Color Prep into a bowl. To fully colour shoulder-length hair, you will need 100 g powder + approx. 340 ml water. If you just want to touch up your roots, you will need 50 g powder + approx. 170 ml water. Using a whisk, mix the powder with warm water until it forms a smooth cream (you can find the exact water temperature for your chosen shade in the colour chart). Before applying the colour cream, make sure it is not too hot. The temperature of the cream should feel comfortable on your scalp. But make sure it does not get cold. Place the bowl of colour cream into a bowl of hot water to keep the colour warm while you apply it.
3. Apply the hai colour: For a full colouring, you can simply massage the colour into your hair strand by strand using your hands, or using an application brush. Generously apply the colour to wet hair within 15 minutes. Mix the Khadi Color Prep with warm water (80 °C) to make a cream. Allow it to cool to a comfortable temperature before applying. Carefully apply to your hair just as you would apply Khadi Natural Hair Color. If you want to prevent your colour from developing a warm undertone, do not use high heat.
4. Now it's wellness time: Put on the cap provided. Cover the cap with a towel turban to maintain the proper level of warmth. Leave the colour in for 60 to 120 minutes (check the colour chart to find the proper amount of time for your chosen shade).
5. Rinse: Now, tilt your head down and rinse the colour out of your hair with warm water. Do NOT use shampoo or conditioner to rinse. Style as usual.
6. Let the colour develop: The plant-based hair colour can take 24-48 hours to fully develop. Occasionally, an ashy hue will appear directyl after colouring. This is completely normal and will vanish once your chosen shade has fully developed. It is important that you do not shampoo your hair during this period. Give nature time to take its course.
7. Fix the colour: After 24-48 hours - before you wash your hair - you can use Khadi Color Care Hair Oil to set the colour pigments. Apply 1-2 pumps to your hair and gently work it in. Leave the hair oil in for at least 30 minutes - or ideally over night - before washing your hair.

Die beste Pflanzenhaarfarbe der Welt! Riecht wie alle nach Heu, gut aufzutragen, gut anzurühren (reines Henna geht noch etwas besser als die anderen, finde ich) und vor allem: Grauabdeckung 100%, man muss sie nur schon laaang drauflassen. Bei ganz ergrauten Haaren am besten mit Henna vorfärben, dann mit Wunschfarbe oder nochmal Henna nachfärben - oder mischen. Klasse Farben, ganz natürlich, ergibt viel Lob vom Freundeskreis! ;-)

Sehr gute Pflanzenhaarfarbe. Besser als alles was ich je zuvor gehabt habe. Habe bei langem sehr kaputt gefärbten Haaren meine letzte Chance vor dem Abschneiden der Haare mit dieser Farbe genutzt mit absoluten Erfolg. Meine Haare sind dadurch wieder von brüchigen kaputten Haaren zu sehr schönen langen und gepflegten Haaren geworden. Die Farbe ist mit 4 Schwarzteebeuteln eine sehr schöne Karamel -rote Farbe bei meiner Ausgangsfarbe Grau und dunkelbraun. Absolut empfehlenswert.

: Review date:I have been colouring with vegetable hair dyes for several years. However, I was never completely satisfied with the colour result, frequency of re-colouring, application and exposure time of the other chemical-free henna powders. I am satisfied with the Khadi colours in every respect. So are my relatives and friends. :-) The colours can be mixed as usual (I use ~70-80% henna, the rest dark brown). Mix the day before (hot boiled water, contrary to all tips also the dark brown), put it in a warm place, warm it up a bit before dyeing. I have been pre-peeling my hair with xylitol for years. It works wonderfully without regular hair washing (despite conventional hairspray, no good NK alternative in sight) and is much cheaper than special pre-treaters. Quick, spill- and crumb-free application - before, a medium bathroom cleaning was the order of the day, here it takes less than 5 minutes. :-)
After 3 hours, out with it - finished. With the others it took more like 4-4.5 hours to achieve a satisfactory colour result. Here, the roots are also wonderfully covered despite the full colouring. I am too lazy to colour the roots. It's only noticeable when you hold the tips to the roots ;-) If you are afraid of the "long" application time: I apply the colour on our "cleaning and bumming day" and wrap aluminium foil (yes, I know ;-)) and a hair turban around it - the 3 hours fly by ;-). The result is a nice warm reddish brown that covers very well and lasts a long time. The scent (which I absolutely love) decreases more and more over the course of a few days. I re-dye every 7-10 weeks, depending on my mood.
Conclusion: No more expensive than the chemical pistols from the drugstore, certainly not than those from the hairdresser. Pleasant to apply, best colour coverage and hold of any plant-based hair dye I know.
Ich färbe bereits seit einigen Jahren mit Pflanzenhaarfarben. Mit Farbergebnis, Häufigkeit des Nachfärbens, Anwendung und Einwirkzeit der anderen chemiefreien Hennapulver war ich bis dahin jedoch nie ganz zufrieden. Mit den Khadi-Farben bin ich in jeder Hinsicht zufrieden. Verwandtschaft und Freundinnen ebenso. :-) Die Farben lassen sich wie gewohnt untereinander mischen (ich nutze ~70-80% Henna, Rest dunkelbraun). Am Vortag anrühren (heißes abgekochtes Wasser, entgegen aller Tipps auch das dunkelbraun), an einen warmen Platz stellen, vor dem Färben nochmal etwas aufwärmen. Meine Haare peele ich seit Jahren mit Xylit vor. Klappt ganz wunderbar ohne reguläre Haarwäsche (trotz konventionellem Haarspray, keine gute NK-Alternative in Sicht) und ist um einiges günstiger als spezielle Vorbehandler. Zügiges, klecks- und krümelfreies Auftragen - vorher war danach ein mittelprächtiger Badputz angesagt, hier dauert es keine 5 Minuten. :-)
Nach 3 Stunden raus damit - fertig. Bei den anderen dauerte es eher 4-4,5 Stunden bis zu einem zufriedenstellenden Farbergebnis. Hier ist auch der Ansatz trotz Vollfärbung wunderbar abgedeckt. Zum Ansatzfärben bin ich zu faul. Fällt nur auf, wenn man die Spitzen an den Ansatz hält. ;-) Wer vor der "langen" Einwirkzeit zurückschreckt: ich trage die Farbe an unserem "Putz- und Gammeltag" auf und wickele Alufolie (ja ich weiiiiß ;-)) und einen Haarturban drum - die 3 Stunden vergehen im Flug. ;-) Das Ergebnis ist bei mir ein schönes warmes rotbraun, das sehr gut deckt und lange hält. Der Duft (den ICH absolut mag) nimmt im Laufe einiger Tage immer mehr ab. Ich färbe je nach Laune alle 7-10 Wochen nach.
Fazit: Nicht teurer als die Chemiekeulen aus der Drogerie, schon garnicht als die vom Friseur. Angenehm in der Anwendung, beste(r) mir bekannte Farbdeckung und -halt unter den Pflanzenhaarfarben.

: Review date:I've been using this hair colour for a while now - with a little bit of the dark brown mixed in, otherwise blonde hair turns a nasty orange. :-) It's also great for colouring the roots if you mix it with the right viscosity. Always remember to treat the hair with a somewhat abrasive shampoo or similar beforehand, perhaps also to exfoliate (healing earth or salt also works), so that the result is more durable. Other henna colours have already washed out on me, this one remains very well if you don't forget the pre-treatment ;-)
Benutze diese Haarfarbe schon länger - darunter etwas beigemischt das dunkle braun, da bei blondem Haar sonst ein fieses orange herumkommt. :-) Auch das Ansatzfärben geht damit wunderbar, wenn man die Mischung in entsprechender Viskosität anrührt. Immer dran denken, die Haare vorher mit einem etwas aufreibenden Shampoo o.ä. zu behandeln, vielleicht auch zu Peelen (geht auch Heilerde oder Salz), damit das Ergebnis langlebiger ist. Andere Henna-Farben haben sich bei mir schon rausgewaschen, diese bleibt sehr gut erhalten, wenn man die Vorbehandlung nicht vergisst ;-)
