To mix, you need hot water, a thermometer, a spoon, a heat-resistant bowl, a whisk and to apply, a dye brush, a comb, hair clips and a towel to protect your clothes. 1 pair of gloves and bonnet are already included in the pack.
1. Preparation: Wash your hair with a natural shampoo. Tip: if your hair has been chemically treated, or if you use styling or hair care products with synthetic ingredients, you should use Khadi Deep Charcoal Cleanse Hair Mask to deep clean your hair before colouring.
2. Mix the colour: Put the gloves on. Pour your Khadi Natural Hair Color or Khadi Color Prep into a bowl. To fully colour shoulder-length hair, you will need 100 g powder + approx. 340 ml water. If you just want to touch up your roots, you will need 50 g powder + approx. 170 ml water. Using a whisk, mix the powder with warm water until it forms a smooth cream (you can find the exact water temperature for your chosen shade in the colour chart). Before applying the colour cream, make sure it is not too hot. The temperature of the cream should feel comfortable on your scalp. But make sure it does not get cold. Place the bowl of colour cream into a bowl of hot water to keep the colour warm while you apply it.
3. Apply the hai colour: For a full colouring, you can simply massage the colour into your hair strand by strand using your hands, or using an application brush. Generously apply the colour to wet hair within 15 minutes. Mix the Khadi Color Prep with warm water (80 °C) to make a cream. Allow it to cool to a comfortable temperature before applying. Carefully apply to your hair just as you would apply Khadi Natural Hair Color. If you want to prevent your colour from developing a warm undertone, do not use high heat.
4. Now it's wellness time: Put on the cap provided. Cover the cap with a towel turban to maintain the proper level of warmth. Leave the colour in for 60 to 120 minutes (check the colour chart to find the proper amount of time for your chosen shade).
5. Rinse: Now, tilt your head down and rinse the colour out of your hair with warm water. Do NOT use shampoo or conditioner to rinse. Style as usual.
6. Let the colour develop: The plant-based hair colour can take 24-48 hours to fully develop. Occasionally, an ashy hue will appear directyl after colouring. This is completely normal and will vanish once your chosen shade has fully developed. It is important that you do not shampoo your hair during this period. Give nature time to take its course.
7. Fix the colour: After 24-48 hours - before you wash your hair - you can use Khadi Color Care Hair Oil to set the colour pigments. Apply 1-2 pumps to your hair and gently work it in. Leave the hair oil in for at least 30 minutes - or ideally over night - before washing your hair.

My grey hair is perfectly covered, which is amazing as I now have a grey content of over 70%. After washing off the colour, it is recommended to apply a conditioner to make the hair combable. Overall, I am very happy with the product, I have never had such well-groomed and shiny hair before!
Mit dieser Haarfarbe (gemischt mit Henna, Amla & Jatropha von Khadi) färbe ich seit inzwischen mehr als zwei Jahren. Meine grauen Haare werden perfekt abgedeckt, was erstaunlich ist, da ich inzwischen einen Grauanteil von über 70% habe. Nach dem Abwaschen der Farbe ist es empfehlenswert, eine Spülung anzuwenden, damit die Haare kämmbar sind. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Produkt, ich hatte nie zuvor so gepflegte und glänzende Haare!

: Review date:Yesterday I tried a hair colour from Khadi for the first time. Unfortunately, I don't like the result at all. I was actually hoping for a light, warm brown. Before the application, I researched on the internet and did everything exactly as recommended, e.g. stirred black tea, etc. I was very pleased with the results. Since most of the reviews were very positive, I had high expectations. But now I am totally dissatisfied. My hair is not evenly coloured and the colour has a strong red tinge. It is also not as shiny as usual. It doesn't look pretty at all. I will probably have to dye over it again. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Khadi at all.
Gestern habe ich zum ersten Mal eine Haarfarbe von Khadi ausprobiert. Leider gefällt mir das Ergebnis überhaupt nicht. Hatte mir eigentlich ein helles warmes Braun gewünscht. Vor der Anwendung hatte ich mich im Internet erkundigt und alles genauso gemacht wie empfohlen, z.B. schwarzen Tee angerührt etc. Da die meisten Bewertungen überaus positiv waren, hatte ich große Erwartungen. Bin nun aber total unzufrieden. Meine Haare sind nicht gleichmäßig gefärbt, außerdem hat die Farbe einen starken Rotstich. Sie glänzen auch nicht so schön wie sonst. Sieht gar nicht hübsch aus. Werde wohl nochmals drüber färben müssen. Khadi kann ich deshalb leider überhaupt nicht empfehlen.

: Review date:My natural hair colour is brown, as my hair grows very quickly and I constantly have to dye a grey tinge, Khadi is super. Boil black tea to 50 degrees heat and stir the khadi powder with it, the whole thing has a greenish colour and smells like spinach! When the colour is applied, wrap the head with a plastic cap and a towel (important: the colour must be warm when applied and the hair must be washed with warm water beforehand), then after about 2 hours rinse well with water only (no shampoo). Two days later the hair is washed out again with shampoo and the grey hairs are gone and after frequent application you only need to dye the top hair. I dye every 14 days (1x only top hair, then again completely)! In the past, I always had psoriasis, itching and red patches on my head with other products, but that is no longer the case with Khadi!
Meine natürliche Haarfarbe ist braun, da meine Haare sehr schnell wachsen und ich ständig einen Grauansatz färben muß, ist Khadi super. Koche schwarzen Tee auf 50 Grad Wärme und rühre damit das Khadipulver an, das Ganze hat eine grünliche Farbe und duftet nach Spinat! Wenn die Farbe aufgetragen ist, wird der Kopf mit einer Plastikhaube und einem Handtuch umwickelt (wichtig: die Farbe muß beim Auftragen warm sein und die Haare vorher mit warmen Wasser gewaschen werden), dann nach ca. 2 Stunden nur mit Wasser (ohne Schampo) gut ausspülen. Zwei Tage später wird das Haar nochmals mit Schampo ausgewaschen und somit sind die grauen Haare weg und nach öfterer Anwendung braucht man auch nur das Deckhaar zu färben. Ich färbe alle 14 Tage (1x nur Deckhaar, dann wieder komplett)! Früher hatte ich mit anderen Produkten immer Schuppenflechten, Juckreiz und rote Stellen am Kopf, das fällt mir Khadi weg!

: Review date:My first attempt to dye with vegetable hair colour was a complete success! I am thrilled how easy the application is (not much difference to chemical dyeing) and how great the result looks! My initial hair colour was a reddish dark blonde/light brown. Overall, my hair was supposed to be a little darker, more of a medium brown. I have now mixed Khadi light brown and Khadi nut brown 1:1 and now have a very nice medium brown shade with slight red reflections. The colour did not burn or stink during application, it was rather a slightly spicy "tea scent". This lasted for 1 week even though I wash my hair daily. However, the smell is really pleasant and unobtrusive, so it doesn't bother. What is especially nice is that it really does the hair good! They are shiny and strong! I will definitely stay with Khadi plant hair colour! I have already ordered more :-)
Mein erster Versuch mit Pflanzenhaarfarbe zu färben war ein voller Erfolg! Ich bin begeistert, wie einfach die Anwendung ist (kein großer Unterschied zum chemischen Färben) und wie toll das Ergebnis aussieht! Meine Ausgangshaarfarbe war ein rötliches dunkelblond/hellbraun. Insgesamt sollte meine Haare etwas dunkler werden, eher mittelbraun. Ich habe jetzt Khadi hellbraun und Khadi nussbraun 1:1 gemischt und habe jetzt einen sehr schönen mittleren Braunton mit leichten Rotreflexen. Die Farbe hat während des Auftragens nicht gebrannt und auch nicht gestunken, es war eher ein leicht würziger "Teeduft". Dieser hielt sich auch 1 Woche, obwohl ich täglich meine Haare wasche. Der Geruch ist aber wirklich angenehm und unaufdringlich, so dass das nicht stört. Besonders schön ist, dass es den Haaren wirklich gut tut! Sie glänzen und sind kräftig! Ich werde auf jeden Fall bei Pflanzenhaarfarbe von Khadi bleiben! Nachschub ist schon bestellt :-)
